General Electric Canada contracted Multimediate to produce 26 semi-weekly lectures by over 50 of their design engineers. The mandate was a video production of a training series for Peterborough and GE Industrial Systems worldwide. Therefore Multimediate suggested DVD as the preferred format.

Samples were shot to check technical set-ups, with considerable testing conducted on all computers and DVD players for quality assurance. Multimediate designed a custom template for video parameters and advised guidelines to follow in the presentations.

The mission was to shoot, direct and produce all the lectures in 'real time' video with a 'live' audience. For two hours per session, the speakers, presentations and audio were recorded immaculately with no re-takes. This proved to be a very successful, cost-effective approach for General Electric.

Multimediate also designed and produced intros, extros and original music for each lecture and edited the combination to DVD. Complete DVD masters were finished bi-weekly, plus back-up, label design and jewel case packaging.

The series was duplicated for China, India, Brazil and Norway. Multimediate is proud to have worked with General Electric to preserve, convey and digitally distribute their tremendous wealth of knowledge for GE engineers today and tomorrow.
